Rupesh Asher, RPh, is the 2011 recipient of the Vermont Pharmacists Association's Pharmacist of the Year award. Rupesh, a former president of the VPA and current board member, was chosen for his role in directly and indirectly aiding the profession by coordinating numerous continuing education programs. His work proudly reflects on the profession. Rupesh is currently employed by the Rite Aid Corporation. Congratulations Rupesh for an award well deserved!
The Vermont Pharmacists Association awards the Bowl of Hygeia annually. The award, which is part of a national awards program sponsored by A.H. Robins/ Wyeth Ayerst Co., is granted to recognize and honor a Vermont pharmacist who has demonstrated sustained commitment to community service. Recipients have demonstrated a sustained commitment to community service, apart from his/her specific identification as a pharmacist, which reflects well on the profession of pharmacy.
