When I decided my heart was set on obtaining my PharmD, my dream became to receive my entire education here then move back to my hometown, Barre, to practice pharmacy. The scholarship I received from the Vermont Pharmacist Association helped to pay for all my books for the first professional year. On Thursday, February 17, 2011 students from Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in Colchester visited the Montpelier Statehouse for Pharmacy Day. The first of its kind program brought representatives of ACPHS, The Vermont Pharmacists Association, The Vermont Independent Pharmacy Association, and the Association of Health Systems Pharmacists-VT together to lobby for the profession. During the "Vermont Pharmacy: Past, Present, and Future" day, students met Governor Peter Shumlin.
